Dance/Movement Therapy for the Adult Journey

This course provides an overview and experiential practices of movement therapy forms, techniques, methods and skills for use with Adult populations. We cover an age range from 19 to Elders. We consider all experiences common to adults during the various adult developmental phases of life and look at how movement therapy can help shape health, happy relationships, career satisfaction, creative expression, well-being, self-identity, clarifying roles, challenges in adult life, and help to heal a variety of mental health issues commonly experienced by adults.

Drawing from a variety of forms of DMT, and making links back to understanding the Sensorimotor imprinting of early childhood and how that follows through into adulthood, students gain the tools necessary for working well with adult populations.
